The Philippines is made of over 7,500 islands far east in the Pacific Ocean. Over the last 500 years, Filipino food has been influenced Spanish, American, Chinese and Malaysian culture leading to a whole host of weird and wonderful (but totally delicious) dishes you’ve probably never tried before!
These dishes combine three main elements that are sacred Filipino cooking: sweet (tamis), sour (asim) and salty (alat). They mostly come with rice and an ice-cold Red Horse beer or Don Papa Rum.
At Ading Ysa’s Kitchen, we bring Filipino home-cooking to London. Situated in Broadway Market (Tooting), our family-owned restaurant is the best place to be introduced to the wonders of this Asian food. Sip on a glass of wine and slow-cook beef in a rich tomato sauce for you to enjoy. After your meal, why not join us for one of the Philippines’ favourite pass times – KARAOKE?
